Organic Shampoo Product Review

I started this Organic Shampoo blog because I wanted to share the benefits and importance of using all natural hair care treatments, instead of traditional shampoo. I’m very paranoid about hair loss due to harmful chemicals in traditional shampoo. Actually, I experienced some hair loss from constantly using clarifying shampoo. I was unaware that I was not supposed to use this every day, needless to say that I ended up with a small receding hairline on the crown of head. I started freaking out because my family does not have hereditary hair loss. So I started researching why I would be losing hair and it turns out that it was because of my shampoo.

Since that scary moment, I started to use organic shampoo to treat my hair. Every since I started using natural treatments, my hair has been restored on the crown of my head and my hair feels more full and has more volume. I would like to share a variety of organic shampoos with you that I have personally used.

Today I will review the CHI Organic Olive Nutrient Therapy Shampoo. The shampoo only has all-natural ingredients and the main ingredients are olive, herbs and essential oils. It has a special mix of extracts from natural olive oils and essential oils. The consistency is kind of thin for this shampoo and has a unique fragrance. You should make sure that you only use a little bit as the shampoo is expensive and tends to run out of the bottle very quickly. It didn’t have that oily consistency that I assumed it would have when I applied it my hair. Many of my friends that have used this product have complained about the smell. I actually like the smell, but to each their own I suppose. The product provided a very rich rather that nourished my hair and made my hair really shiny. I have thick black hair and it provided enough nourishment to add additional volume and “bounce” back into my hair.

I also used the Olive Nutrient conditioner. This product is paraben free and is 100% certified organic. It has essential oil and the application is very smooth. I did not feel like any substance was left in my hair after rinsing off the conditioner. It left my hair tangle free and added a surprisingly high amount of shine to my hair. The conditioner works well for all hair types (thin and thick hair). Many of my friends raved about the conditioner and some also complained about an “earthy smell”.

Lastly, like a lot of organic shampoos, the cost is quite expensive for one bottle of organic shampoo. The product sells for approximately $20 online for a 12 ounce bottle. I switch between different types of shampoos to cut costs, but when my hair needs heavy treatment, I always use this product.

Organic Shampoo Recipe

Using organic shampoos are a healthy alternative to traditional shampoos that can harm your scalp and body. However, organic shampoo can be expensive and inconvenient to buy. Many people make their own natural hair products using house hold items. Making your own shampoo is better for your scalp and for the environment. The benefit of creating your own hair care products is that you can customize your shampoo in accordance to your hair type. Also you can save a lot of money because you can make your shampoo in bulk.

There are many ways to create green shampoos at your house. Here is a popular recipe for organic shampoo.

5 drops of tea tree oil
1 tablespoon of glycerin
2 cups of hot green tea
4 tablespoons of grated castile soap

Some other alternatives are to add a dash of lemon juice, coconut oil and even egg whites. Use a blender to make all of your ingredients into a thick paste.

Explore other possibilities to determine what oils and ingredients are best for your hair. You will feel better about yourself and your hair will love you for it. Remember that Organic Shampoo is the way to go for hair care products.

Organic Life Blog

Welcome to the Organic Life and Products Blog!

I created this blog to discuss organic products and the how it is essential to choose green products over industrial and mass produced items. I was not always an organically conscience person. I just started to focus on choosing organic as I feel great when I eat organic foods and buy organic products. Since I was a little kid, I have always been taught to buy products that are cheap. I didn't know what organic was and I didn't care. Buying the cheapest item was my goal when shopping for groceries, I didn't realize that there were harmful chemicals that could eventually lead to me getting sick.

After I started using organic products, I felt HEALTHY. I had renewed energy and had more strength. So that's a little bit about me...I will start writing posts about products, like organic shampoo, etc.
