Organic Shampoo Product Review

I started this Organic Shampoo blog because I wanted to share the benefits and importance of using all natural hair care treatments, instead of traditional shampoo. I’m very paranoid about hair loss due to harmful chemicals in traditional shampoo. Actually, I experienced some hair loss from constantly using clarifying shampoo. I was unaware that I was not supposed to use this every day, needless to say that I ended up with a small receding hairline on the crown of head. I started freaking out because my family does not have hereditary hair loss. So I started researching why I would be losing hair and it turns out that it was because of my shampoo.

Since that scary moment, I started to use organic shampoo to treat my hair. Every since I started using natural treatments, my hair has been restored on the crown of my head and my hair feels more full and has more volume. I would like to share a variety of organic shampoos with you that I have personally used.

Today I will review the CHI Organic Olive Nutrient Therapy Shampoo. The shampoo only has all-natural ingredients and the main ingredients are olive, herbs and essential oils. It has a special mix of extracts from natural olive oils and essential oils. The consistency is kind of thin for this shampoo and has a unique fragrance. You should make sure that you only use a little bit as the shampoo is expensive and tends to run out of the bottle very quickly. It didn’t have that oily consistency that I assumed it would have when I applied it my hair. Many of my friends that have used this product have complained about the smell. I actually like the smell, but to each their own I suppose. The product provided a very rich rather that nourished my hair and made my hair really shiny. I have thick black hair and it provided enough nourishment to add additional volume and “bounce” back into my hair.

I also used the Olive Nutrient conditioner. This product is paraben free and is 100% certified organic. It has essential oil and the application is very smooth. I did not feel like any substance was left in my hair after rinsing off the conditioner. It left my hair tangle free and added a surprisingly high amount of shine to my hair. The conditioner works well for all hair types (thin and thick hair). Many of my friends raved about the conditioner and some also complained about an “earthy smell”.

Lastly, like a lot of organic shampoos, the cost is quite expensive for one bottle of organic shampoo. The product sells for approximately $20 online for a 12 ounce bottle. I switch between different types of shampoos to cut costs, but when my hair needs heavy treatment, I always use this product.
